Well, this is the bio section, my favorite part ! ( no sarcasm ) well, VOODEEP, aka, Gene, me... I'm a lot of things, a writer, a servant to my dog Coco, an unconventional being, a musician, a dancer, a deep thinker and a brother. I can keep going but I think that's a fair amount.

I was born in Ukraine and raised in Chicago, IL,  U.S.A. I'm classically trained in violin and started  playing with music equipment and experimenting with different sounds in my teenage years. I started loving progressive melodic / deep house music, but of course depending on a certain mood my preference for a different genre will arise; everything from Jazz to 90's hip-hop. 

Where do I get my Inspiration?

Artistical - It can be something as simple as taking a stroll through a neighborhood or city I'm visiting for the first time or it can be from another artist, additionally, I get it from my writings as well and the last couple artworks that I did were inspired by memories in my personal life.

Musical - I grew up listening to euro-dance style, 90's hip-hop and R&B, alternative so those genre's influenced me at an early age. Older or influential musicians not with us anymore (sadly ) include Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Bob Marley, Michael & Janet Jackson, Marshall Mathers aka Eminem, and Nirvana. Newer influential musicians in the electronic dance industry include, Eli & Fur, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buren, Jan Blomqvist, Yotto and many others.

I've played everything from a warehouse party in Chicago to a private yacht party in Miami, FL. Now living in Miami, I plan to keep pursing my passion projects and intertwining my art and music into my brand, VOODEEP. 

I have many exciting  plans that I'm working on and absolutely can not wait to share them with you, the Miami community and the rest of the world ( in time ). Despite my early successes, I remain grounded and committed to use my art and music skills to create wonderful memories with joyous souls on the dancefloor and leave a piece of my heart in my art creations to give to inspired beings. .
